Ted Bauman was born in Washington D.C but grew up in Maryland before relocating to South Africa. He achieved an Economics and History postgraduate degree from the University of Cape Town. He, then, began his career in South Africa where he practiced for two and a half decades. Some of the jobs he held revolved around the management of funds for housing projects and not for profit work. He played a big part in the formation of the Slum Dwellers Internationals. This organization has been of great help to millions of people who reside in various countries globally through its work.
Ted dedicated his life to advising and assisting people to make a living from resources and being independent. He is not a strong believer in greed associated with corporates. He has consulted for various renowned companies such as the World Bank, the U.N. and the government of South Africa among others. He does extensive research and writes down his findings on matters relating to finance and housing among much more. 9 years ago, he left South Africa and moved back to the United States to serve the Habitat for Humanity International as an International Housing Programs’ Director. He worked there for about 5 years before he decided to pick up a writing and research position at Banyan Hill Publishing.
At Banyan Hill Publishing, he is an Editorial Director. He edits the Alpha Stock Alert, The Bauman Letter, and the Plan B Club. Some of the areas he specializes in include and is not limited to privacy, investment strategies that are low risk, protection of assets and migration issues among others. He currently resides in Atlanta. Throughout his life as a career man, he has traveled the world and the greatest lesson he has learned from this experience is never to invest in one place. It is wiser to have a wider array of investments that are located far and wide in case the economy comes crashing down. Through the monthly publication, The Bauman Letter, Ted gives his readers various options to choose from when making investments based on his research.
Other than The Bauman Letter, he writes in The Sovereign Investor Daily weekly. He also is a co-author of the ‘Where to Stash Your Cash’ book. Other well-known publications such as Journal of Microfinance, New Internationalist, Guardian, Cape Times, Mail and the South African press have published his work. Ted continues to share his knowledge with anyone who is interested in making a living by making wise investments.
